Initial Review: Assessment of readiness for publication  –  Cost $0.005/word

50% applied to the project cost if we decide to work together

Note:  You send us your manuscript in Microsoft Word with minimal formatting

Proofreading / Basic edit – Cost $0.018/word

Note:  We do not do deep editing. Your book file needs to be essentially completed before presenting it to us.

Book Cover Design – we work with you to create a cover design using Adobe Creative Suite; can be a basic cover using no images, use your own images and/or purchased stock images; OR a custom designed cover

Book Interior Design – using Adobe Creative Suite; with author input, we create PDF versions for you to review and approve until we have a final version

E-book Design (optional) – we use your print book layout as the basis for an attractive e-book design; $150-$300 cost varies depending on length and complexity

Producing final PDF files for you to publish (see options below):

Book Release Options

(1)  No commercial sales – copies to author only

(2) RSPs account with Lightning Source – loads to Books in Print; available to wide range of online retailers including Amazon.com; available to bookstores should they wish to order copies; higher print cost and lower earnings than Amazon KDP (see below); Catalog Fee of $90 (for 3 years) paid up front to RSP.  (optional) Sales page on the River Sanctuary Publishing website with terms 75% to author on sales.

(3) River Sanctuary Publishing (RSP) account with Amazon KDP – sales through Amazon’s websites only; no ISBN necessary; lower print cost than Lightning Source option; faster fulfillment of orders; more earnings for author when choosing Amazon KDP basic plan. (Note: Amazon KDP does offer a worldwide marketing plan, but LS terms are better)

Options (1), (2) and (3) include:

One proof copy (printed proof) for author to review before finalizing the file and printing your copies

Order fulfillment direct from print facility to customer

Author copies at print cost:  At author’s request, with prepayment of invoice, RSP will order copies (any quantity) of the book to be printed and shipped to the author (allow 2-3 weeks for printing and delivery)

Print Cost Example:  Cost to author for 20 copies of a 200 page book

Payment of author sales profit on a quarterly basis for any quarter in which earnings are >$20.00.  Earnings less than $20.00 in a quarter will be accrued and paid within 30 days after the end of the calendar year.  Payment will be through Zelle or in the form of a paper check from our bank mailed to whomever is designated to receive it.

(4)  Using Author’s account with Amazon KDP – we provide the files you need to upload to your Amazon KDP or other sales account
